House of Fades

Background

This company owner was making a lot of recent changes, including updating an older non-responsive website, and adding a third location opening. He needed some direction and help with gaining exposure in older locations, along with a new overall bolder brand identity and American family feel. Since adding a female stylist they wanted to keep it stylish, and “cool” while moving away from the stereotype of it being a “guys barbershop”.

Research Goal

Increase revenue by highlighting all locations

Introducing a new design layout

Create a bolder look while keeping a consistent brand identity

I needed to know how we could accomplish this,

while establishing an American family theme.

Target Audience

The research proved that our target audience would be male between the ages of 18-30.

While still serving 4-50+

The new stylist opened the possibility of a new audience

-women and girls serving the same.

User Research

We conducted an online survey which covered people from the target age group along with some from the other groups. As always this process is done to better understand – the users needs and wants and of course pain points. The data gathered was quite helpful and the analysis was done via (google forms) From the forms responses and analysis – I conducted personal interviews on several online platforms. Including but not limited to Zoom I was able to get a good  idea on their goals, wants, needs  & over all motivations, and of course the frustrations too.

Branding

This was very important sine he wanted to keep some familiarity of his last logo.
Me and the lead graphics expert created something amazing and fun.
Let me know what you think.
I used Illustrator with this branding project mostly, with a dash of a few other programs

Visuals

My creative side peaking out from all the research and documents.
I love making my clients visions come to life.

That’s part of why I love this job so much. It’s a perfect combination of both.
For this project I used Sketch and just a sprinkle of Photoshop in the end for the staging.

Thank You!

Thanks a lot for your time!
